Villa Orestis - Archanes

I was blown away by the lovely small studio and the warm Crete welcome from our kind hosts. They went above and beyond to help us with directions, keys, and local tips. The town was a breath of fresh air, so authentic and less touristy than other areas. The villagers were so friendly, saying hello and making us feel welcome. The bakery was fantastic and the Greek tavernas in the square had food to die for. The place itself was really pretty, with ample shade and a patio surrounded by flowers and plants. The room was clean and cute, with a triplex layout and beautiful views of the mountains. a super satisfying stay for friends and couples alike!

Traditional place to stay short walk to Heraklion, city center, and downtown, what I was expecting.

loved our stay at the villa in archanes. beautiful room, perfect location, and attentive hosts. the shared courtyard was enchanting. facilities worked perfectly and they even held onto my lost item until i returned. wonderful experience and would stay again if back in archanes.

I had a wonderful stay at Villa Orestis in Archanes. the hosts were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. the studio was lovely with a beautiful outside area where I could sit and enjoy the shade and flowers. Archanes itself is a charming agricultural town, giving a true sense of life in Crete without being overrun with tourists. the village had friendly locals who greeted me warmly, and the Greek tavernas in the square served delicious food. I was also impressed with the restored modern touches in the town.

During my recent transit stay at Villa Orestis in Archanes, I was impressed with two particular features. the hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with the nearest airport being just 12 km away. This made my arrival and departure hassle-free, saving me precious time and eliminating any transportation concerns. the hotel's database provided accurate information regarding this aspect, allowing me to plan my stay with confidence.

One minor negative aspect I observed was the placement of the toilet, which was on a different floor than the bed. It would be helpful for the hotel to make this detail more prominent to ensure guests are aware of the layout prior to making a reservation.

For the price I paid, the room at Villa Orestis was basic but very clean and exactly what I expected. The local host was polite and helped us with taxi numbers for a wine tasting in the area. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the charming village of Archanes, and the patio was a nice place to relax with tables and shade.

The breakfast selection could be improved with a wider variety of options.

The beautiful surroundings, with a lovely paved garden adorned with lemon trees and flowers, created a tranquil atmosphere. We loved sitting on the terrace with its canopy of grape vines, enjoying meals and drinks in the evening. The traditional town of Archanes added to the charm of the location.

One specific situation that stood out was when we got lost upon arrival. the hosts, particularly Anastasia, were very good too help us.

Convenient location near center and Heraklion. Charming courtyard. Clean and quiet spacious room with large bed. Friendly hosts offering helpful local tips. Vibrant town with good food and wine, close to attractions like Knossos. Good value for money.

This place has a great central location, making it easy to visit nearby attractions like Knossos, Archanes, and the Palace of Knossos.

Our romantic escape was perfect! The charming courtyard covered in grapevines made for a picturesque setting. Our room was lovely and clean, with beautiful views from the upper stories. We loved the fact that shops and restaurants were within a short walk, and the village itself was a great location for exploring nearby attractions. the hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The complimentary gifts of raki, wine, and fresh fruits were a delightful touch.

The only minor downsides were the tiny bathroom with no separate shower and the limited kitchen facilities. It would have been nice to have a larger cooking hob and more pots and pans, especially since we were staying for a longer period.
